Snow Days

Okay, so, if you live anywhere in the UK you’ll know we’ve had a lot of snow lately, and this resulted in a lot of schools having an extra week off after the holidays. So, like any normal person, I tried to make the most of it! =) The first day it snowed I had a Doctor’s appointment – nothing biggy – and so I had to wake up kind of early. My mother and I managed to miss our stop on the bus, and had to walk to the surgery. The snow began to fall at around this time, and it was super fun because new snow always causes excitement. xD It was so pretty.

We got home by around eleven, and my niece and sister in law came in for a cup of tea and a chat. I spent an hour or so afterwards playing with my niece with her plastic kitchen set… thing. Just after they left, our neighbour came in with a thank you present for my mother, and so he stayed a while as well. Busy morning! He wasn’t the last person in, either, after he left our other neighbour came in for a chat as well, and we mostly talked about the snow… Predictable, much?

The last person to visit us that day was a friend of the family – she moved to Australia a year ago and was home for Christmas, bringing her boyfriend with her. She had brought gifts as well, various Australian items, biscuits, a tea towel and things like that. We learnt a lot about her new home, it sounds like she loves it there. Personally, I don’t think I could handle living in Australia – too hot! I prefer cold weather, myself, because it’s easier to throw on a blanket than it is to cool down. =)

The day later my brother, sister in law and my other niece went to build a snowman. It was my niece’s first snowman ever. xD The snow was too powdery to stick very well, so we ended up with a mound on the floor with a face, but it was so hilarious – snowball fights and such.

Oh my, I just realised how boring this blog was. :/ I think I”m going to shut up now, but… I’ve updated it, at least?
